About Rick & Colette Hyde
Leasex Realty Inc. has been working in the real estate business for over 40 years. Recently Colette Hyde joined her husband Rick to round out the residential services area. Together we can facilitate all your residential needs in a unique and personal way. We follow the latest market trends and take personal pride in all our relationships – especially those with whom we do business.
R. W. (Rick) Hyde, CCIM has been a continuous member of the Calgary Real Estate Board for the past 40 years, the last 30 as a broker. His experience includes management of a 10-person commercial division, ownership and management of a full-service brokerage house (including residential) with two offices and 25 sales people. Since joining Leasex in 1993, he has been able to work more directly with clients, assisting property owners with sales and leasing, as well as doing consulting and tenant representation. Past successes include sales and leasing of community, strip and regional shopping centres; as well as land assembly for a 30 Unit luxury condominium project and development of an automotive strip centre.
On October 8, 2014, Rick received an award from the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB) acknowledging his hard work and dedication to his profession. Specifically, he received a Long Service Award in recognition of 45 Years Continuous Membership with the CREB.
Rick is a native Calgarian, married with four daughters. He enjoys the family cabin on the Shuswap, as well as fishing, hunting, skiing, golfing and curling.
Colette Hyde is a CPA,CGA with more than 25 years of experience directing and improving corporate financial operations of large independently owned and international companies. She has exceptional skills in developing and implementing processes and controls, improving business operations, and establishing automated financial and business systems. Her expertise in re-organizing groups and programs to increase overall performance is complemented by her strong analytical and visionary abilities. As an accountant, Colette worked throughout her career as an executive in oil and gas, engineering consulting services and real estate development.
Recently Colette established her second career and became a Residential Real Estate Associate and is a partner with her husband in his real estate firm, Leasex Realty Inc. Throughout her career, Colette has always believed in giving back and making a difference. Her charitable contributions include serving on numerous boards including Muscular Dystrophy Canada-Calgary Chapter, MEOW Foundation, the Chickwagon Foundation for Women and as an avid curler, she has volunteered at Tim Horton’s Briers.
Colette has a granddaughter who has muscular dystrophy and has lost her ability to walk. For years Colette and her family have volunteered, fundraised and advocated not just for Connie but for others impacted by muscular dystrophy. Accessible Housing Calgary and the critical work they do for Calgarians with limited mobility, is naturally aligned with Colette’s passion and compassion to help others who face obstacles and challenges every day, just by doing tasks that most of us take for granted.
